Eric and Cathy are greats friends of ours. In fact Eric was the pastor who married Jess and I two years ago. It has been my pleasure to photograph Ethan for the past year, from coming home from the hospital to his 1 year photo shoot. (Check out his announcement picture at the bottom from a year ago.) He is growing up SO fast! It seems like yesterday we did his newborn shoot where he projectile evacuated all over Eric. HA! Look how he has grown! We had a fun time shooting at the park and over at back bay in Newport Beach a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for being great parental models for Jessica and I. We love you!

Lesley and Mike in the Forest

This was a very special wedding for me. Not just because my parents were there...I've known Lesley since she was about 5 years old. Her brother Clifford and I were super good friends growing up. We would all camp out in their backyard many nights a month. I never would have thought back then that I would be photographing her wedding! I am so happy for her, mostly because she is married to a stud. Mike is such a good guy who absolutely loves her madly.

The wedding was in what seemed like an enchanted forest in the Santa Cruz mountains. The ceremony was surrounded by HUGE sequoia trees, adjacent to a beautiful lake. Just check out these pics!

Lesley, I am so happy for you, and I hope for nothing but blessings in your marriage!

Sarah and Manish

This wedding was HOT. I mean that in both ways. First, it was a scorcher for an outdoor wedding. I must have drank three bottles of water in 45 minutes!. Second and most of all, the bride and her bridesmaids were hot in their full Indian garb. Sarah and Manish first had a full Indian ceremony with the full Indian dress, all the drums, rituals and pizazz one could ask for. I LOVED it. There were so many amazing and interesting colors and details to capture. All the bridesmaids wore vibrant colors and ceremonial jewelry. The shot of their faces could be my favorite bridesmaid photo I have ever taken! After a quick wardrobe change, they had a Western Ceremony. Luckily the sun went down a bit and it was quite pleasant. It was a long day, but we got some amazing photos and had a blast at the reception.

Nicole and Kevin, FINALLY!

I say "finally" because we had to reschedule the engagement pics half a dozen times due to a smorgasbord of reasons! I love this couple. We met over at the Balboa Pavilion for some quick cocktails where we chatted and prepared for the shoot. I shot Kevin's sisters wedding about 2 years ago, so he wasn't a stranger to my camera. Nicole was a champ, even though she was a rookie. I love her piercing blue eyes! What a great looking couple. We found some great places that are a Balboa staple, and even some news ones. Of course we HAD to ride the ferris wheel if we were at the fun zone. The beach was slightly overcast, which made for amazing light and a subtle yet beautiful sunset. I can't wait for the wedding you two!
