I have been a Packer Backer my whole life, (my whole family is from Wisconsin) so naturally it was a thrill to shoot Scott Wells and his pregnant wife Julie. Their two beautiful, and playfully rowdy, kids came along too. We had a great time at an abandoned barn just north of Green Bay. Julie is due in November and she looks like she is ready to pop! Scott is the center for the team, and well, is a big scary dude. But when he is with his kids, he turns into a big cuddly bear and they LOVE to roughhouse with him! Thanks you too so much for an awesome shoot. I look forward to the newborn pics in November!! GO PACK GO!

I was SO excited to fly out to Texas to shoot this wedding. I had the opportunity to photograph another wedding here back in 2007 so i knew what to expect: awesomeness! Mike is a really good friend of mine from Cal Poly, and his fiance, now wife, is one of the sweetest girls i have ever met.
The wedding was on her family's ranch in Fischer, Texas, about 45 minutes south of Austin. They have these HUGE properties where all the wedding party stayed, where we saw deer, shot guns, hay (a big deal for a city boy) and had a grand ole time! I was totally mesmerized by all the photographic opportunities! (Its not wonder since this is the LONGEST blog entry with the most photos i have ever posted). I will stop with the chatter, and let the photos speak for themselves. I love you guys, and can't wait to hang out, and someday head back to Fischer.

Robbie and Natalie are Tall. And on top of that, they are awesome! I love this couple. They are so fun and were so accommodating to me at THEIR wedding, making sure i was taken care of with champagne, food, and in general a good time! We had a super fun time shooting the engagement pics at Monarch Beach and have yet to meet up for golf. I am sure now that wedding is over, we will hit the links. The wedding was super chill, and I had the oppotunity to  work with one of my favorite coordinators Sharon Gall all day. Natalie look gorgeous in her super elegant and vintage dress. We found a sweet train car by the church where they were married and had to take some pics over there. I booked this wedding through some great clients and now friends, Steve and Carie, pictured below. We had a great time at the wedding. Thanks!

I had never been to Venice Beach before, and only heard about it and how eclectic and vibrant it was. It was definitely an adventure. There are all walks of life and more cheap sunglasses for sale on every corner that you can imagine! We met up for happy hour cocktails before the shoot to let the sun go down a bit, then shot away all over the streets, and alleys, and restaurants, etc. We found some great vendors, pizza shaped churros, men on stilts, and even an abandoned tricycle. It was RAD! Thanks you two for such a fun time. I love the beach shots that I snapped quickly that are slightly out of focus. They are very Venice Vintage circa 1969. Great job you two. Maybe i'll make another visit to Venice someday.

One of my favorite things to do is shoot multiple weddings for families. A couple of weeks ago I photographed Bri and John's wedding in Oakdale. I shot John's sisters wedding a little over a year ago, and it was great to see the family again. This was a beautiful wedding loaded with special nuances and details. My FAVORITE part was the closest to the pin contest that they arranged for their guests during cocktail hour. Guest paid $5 per ball to get closest to the pin on a 70 yard pitch shot. Aside from a $100 prize, the money went to their honeymoon.  It was so fun! and YES, I partook in the event. Another amazing detail they had was a plane flying over the reception with a Congratulations banner! It was a total surprise to the bride and groom and to all the guests. The weather was hot, but we snapped some great shots around the area and caught some amazing moments. Congratulations you two!
