If you remember from a past blog entry, I shot Sarah and Kevin in Downtown Orange, in what I would like to think was one of my best engagement shoots ever. (Check it out if you haven't seen it)

They got married last weekend at Rancho Las Lomas, one of my favorite venues to photograph. Sarah is actually another Cal Poly Architecture survivor. We had the same Senior Thesis Design Professor. That being said, her wedding was so incredibly creative, crafty and artistic. She made the invitations herself and they were killer! And I've said a million times before, I absolutely love it when Brides wear fun, colorful shoes...Sarah came through big-time!

It was a super fun wedding, and I can't wait to show them the pics. Congratulations you two. Go Mustangs!

Andre Featured on STYLE ME PRETTY Blog

I was thrilled to hear that I was being featured on Style Me Pretty, one of the most respected and well known blogs for extremely stylish and beautiful weddings. It was for Erin and Seth's wedding last year in Sonoma. They are a super cool couple from San Diego who got married at B.R.Cohn Winery, which is owned and operated by the manager of the Doobie Brothers. It is a gorgeous winery, and their wedding site is tucked behind the hills in a tree patch in the vineyard.

Erin and her coordinator Jenne Hohn, who was AWESOME to work with, did a fantastic job. They thought of every detail and all the colors, themes and nuances came together to make an elegant, rustic and perfect wedding.

Tiffany and Phil in Balboa

Tiffany told me she would hire me to shoot her wedding about 5 years ago when i first met her. Well, she held true to her word. Tiffany has been a great friend over the years, and was just married a few weeks ago to Philip Hover. It was a beautiful day to get married, and we had tons of fun walking all around Balboa Peninsula. We went under the pier, to the arcade, on the Merry-go-round...it was a blast!

Tiff, I am so happy to see you married, and to a man who loves you so much!

Washington DC 1 - MIke and Meghan

During our New York trip, we took a two day stint to Washington DC to visit and photograph my really good friend Mike and his fiance Meghan. They are getting married in Texas in September. I can't wait for the wedding!

We had a great time in DC, we walked all around the mall, saw the Cherry Blossoms, (GORGEOUS!) and saw all the monuments. It was A LOT of walking but well worth it. We had dinner after at Michel Richard's restaurant, Central. It was delicious! I had the beef cheeks FYI.

Back to Mike and Meghan...we saw some of the great sites and they also took me to some nooks and crannies most people don't get to see.

I had such a fun time, and Mike, way to score out of your league...Meghan is awesome!

NEW YORK CITY 1 - Jenn and John

My real challenge in this shoot was to make this New York couple look like they were FROM the city, and not just tourists with the exciting NYC backdrop. I have some amazing moments here, and you can tell because they actually look like they belong in these scenes.

Jenn and John and AWESOME! We first stopped for drinks at the plaza where we met some really cool jazz musicians. Then we walked all around, grabbed some pints at an Irish pub, and then dinner at Bar Americain, Bobby Flay's Restaurant. What an amazing night!

I told Jenn to wear something fun. She exceeded a photographers expectations! (John, you looked great too man!) She wore a killer patterned dress with a bright yellow jacket. It really popped in the photos without looking too flashy. We walked all around Central Park and then down through midtown and Times Square.

I can't wait to go back to NYC.
